Book on GPS and GIS

Posted by: Matteo    Tags:      Posted date:  January 21, 2025  |  No comment

In December 2024, Matteo Luccio completed work on his contribution to the 4th edition of Professor Michael Kennedy’s book on GPS and GIS. Luccio wrote a chapter and a glossary and provided the transcripts of long interviews he conducted with three giants of the field: Dr. Bradford Parkinson, who was the chief architect of GPS more than 50 years ago; Charlie Trimble, the co-founder and long-time president of Trimble, now a four billion dollar company; and Jack Dangermond, co-founder and president of Esri, the 800-pound gorilla in the GIS industry.

The book will be published in August by CRC Press as The Global Positioning System and ArcGIS, Fourth Edition, by Alexander Kennedy and Michael Kennedy with Matteo Luccio.
